Today there is something more "exotic" again, and today we are talking about the current release of the Serbian band Tishina.
But before we start, I would like to point out that Uvod... is released on 30.05.
But who is behind Tishina?
This is a project launched in 2020 by Branislav Panić, who you may know from the band Bane.
The word Tishina means silence in Serbian.
Branislav is responsible for the vocals and the basic music, the drums are by Honza Kapak and the Lyrics are witten by Predrag Rava.
Musically, Tishina can be classified in the direction of melodic doom/death metal.
The artwork is very special and can definitely be described as artistic, it is kept relatively minimalist and yet you can get lost in it. Sounds weird but see for yourself.
But what do we get here musically?
Sluggish, melodic, brutal, that's how the whole thing can be summed up relatively easily.
Doom is writen large here, it roars at every nook and cranny, and that fits perfectly.
What Branislav has created here is something really big, this mix of music combined with the brutal vocals is really fun to listen to.
There are tempo changes here and there, but if you think of blast beats and uptempo when you hear the term Death Metal, you should put something else in your player.
The overall atmosphere here is very somber and runs through the entire work.
If we look at Uvod... purely from the instrumental side, there is absolutely nothing to complain about.
Everything fits from front to back, the booming bass, the relatively deep guitars, the sluggish drumming, all great.
Altogether there are 6 songs, one of them is a rather short interlude of less than a minute.
All in all, we get half an hour of the best music, and Tishina deserves a 10 out of 10 here.
