Hypnotic Dirge is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Quebecois Depressive Black Metal project Nordicwinter. Founded by evillair (Umbrarum Tenebrae, Kalseroth, Graven Dusk) in 2006, Nordicwinter significantly increased their output in 2020 with the full-length releases of “
Requiem” in April and “
Desolation” in June, as well as a remastered version of their 2007 record “
Threnody” in July.
Laden with haunting melodies and cryptic vocals, Nordicwinter creates music that is crafted to obliterate all remnants of light and hope leaving only despair and death.
“Desolation” was previously self-released by the band in a very limited run so Hypnotic Dirge will be re-issuing the album on January 15, 2021 as an upgraded 6 panel digipack! Pre-orders will be available for that album in early December so keep an eye out.
Beyond that, Nordicwinter’s new full-length album “Sorrow” is already written and ready for release. You can expect that album to surface a couple months after the re-issue of “Desolation”.
“Sorrow” will be released in March 2021 alongside new Nordicwinter merch.
