"The great Pete Steele would definitely approve. Orphans Of Dusk deliver enormous, powerful goth-doom riffs that are infused with both delight and derision.”

"Holy hell! You know that feeling you get when you have come across something that rocks you back on your heels? [...] Well, listening to ‘Revenant’ left my awesome-metal-sense tingling."

“Orphans of Dusk are clearly a band with heaps of talent, a lot on their minds, and the urge to pack 'Revenant' to the brim with content. The latter desire simultaneously boosts their appeal to fans of all types of metal, especially progressive, while leaving less time for the luminous doom metal that shows the band at their best. When it does show, as in 'Starless' and in the epic, morose, and superb track 'Beneath the Cover of Night', I'm ready to float away into an endless, beautiful starry night. "

‘Revenant’ is a great-sounding and great-looking release that is presented with great care and attention to detail. It skillfully balances ferocity and melancholy, varying between complexity and simplicity, first caressing and then pummelling. Perhaps most tellingly of all, when it’s over, you’re left wanting more."
