ALBUM NEWS: Melankolia to release fourth full-length ‘Vividarium Intervigilium Viator’ on HDR

Ambient / Neo-classical composer Melankolia is set to release their fourth full-length album ‘Vividarium Intervigilium Viator’ on physical and digital formats through Hypnotic Dirge Records on December 12, 2017!

Founded by musician Mike O’Brien, (Appalachian Winter, Veiled Monk, Ritual in Ash) Melankolia has been releasing introspective and thoughtful music since the project’s beginnings nearly 10 years ago. Three full-length albums have thus far been released - Nokturnum, Orpheus Down, and III - as well as many other collaborative efforts with artists ranging from Mortiis, Loell Duinn, and Immundus. In 2014, Melankolia began work on ‘Vividarium Intervigilium Viator’, which was to become a slow and arduous process. Now, at the end of the year, we will present this introspective work full of loss, mourning, and hope as the darkness of winter descends upon us all.

We will soon publish a song from ‘Vividarium Intervigilium Viator’ through this page as well as reveal the album cover and tracklist. Vividarium Intervigilium Viator’ will be released in a 4 panel digipack with an accompanying booklet of photography from the composer Mike O’Brien and Silvana Massa.

PRE-ORDER: Ah Ciliz / Chiral - Origins Split available for pre-order

The new split album between Ah Ciliz and Chiral, entitled Origins is now available for pre-order through Hypnotic Dirge Records and Throats Productions. The album is set for an official release on November 6, so that is when the album will be streaming in full online and available for download. However, we have experienced some production delays so pre-orders and all subsequent orders will not be shipped until early - mid December.
