PRE-ORDERS: Kassad - London Orbital
December 13, 2019Hypnotic Dirge is pleased to launch pre-orders for our first release of 2020. As we enter a new decade, no album release could better encapsulate the disconnection, disassociation, and perpetual anxiety that defines the modern world. “London Orbital” is the soundtrack of urban decay, monolithic megacities, and the mass surveillance that seems to be a foregone conclusion despite the public’s unease.
In addition to the “London Orbital” CD - presented in an eco-pack with an accompanying 8 page booklet, a limited white t-shirt with the album cover art is also available, as are a set of 3 flyers and a sticker, all with original and distinct artwork. Kassad’s previous full-length album “Faces Turn Away” (presented in an eco-pack as well) is also available in the larger bundle for no additional shipping charge.
The digital version of the album is available on the HDR Bandcamp page for a token pre-order price. It will of course be available as a name-your-price download upon the release date. Other streaming options such as Youtube, Spotify, iTunes, etc will be available once the album is released as well.
Additionally, we invite you to check out “The Boundary”, the video clip for the opening track of the album on the HDR Youtube channel. A second visual representation - for the track “The Concrete” - will follow this coming Monday for you to gaze your eyes upon.
The artist adds: "I wanted to create music for an imagined, future London - one where the city’s monoliths of glass and concrete have come alive to assert their malevolent control over the millions of people that live and toil amongst them. Workers travel in the vast shadows of these buildings, in the tunnels and transport systems that snake below or in the briefest snatches of sun that are yet to be blacked out. If you tilt your head and look at the city just right, you can already see the light starting to turn to darkness."
“London Orbital” will be released on January 10, 2020.
