Immensity  are  a  band  from  Greece  that  plays  an  atmospheric  form  of  doom/death  metal  with  some  funeral  and  progressive  touches  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2016 album  "The  Isolation  Splendour"  which  was  released  as  a  joitn  effort  between  Hypnotic  Dirge  Records  and  Solitude  Productions.

Acoustic  guitar  playing  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  symphonic  keyboards  a  few  seconds  later  which  also  leads  up  to  more  of  a  melodic  doom  metal direction that  also  introduces  death  metal  growls  that  are  very  easy  to  understand  onto  the recording  and  the  solos  and  leads  also  use  a  great  amount  of  melody.

Clean  singing  can  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  songs  and  most  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  lot  of  influences  from  the  90's  atmospheric  doom/death  metal  era  and  as  the  album  progresses  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  parts  and  whispers can  be  heard  and  all of  the  songs  stick  to  a  very  slow  musical  direction  and  there  is  also  a  brief  use  of  black metal  elements.

Immensity  plays  a  style  of  atmospheric  doom/death  metal  that  is  rooted  in  the  90's  style  while  also  updating  the  style  along  with  some  elements  of  funeral  doom  and  progressive  music, the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  reality,  pain,  metaphor,  and  sorrow  themes.

In  my  opinion  Immensity  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric doom/death  metal  band  with  a  touch  of  funeral  and  progressive  music  and  if you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check out  this  band.
